Braztime Wins Impressively

Sat 13 May 2017

A busy day was had by all on Friday and Richard came away with a double on the day and a couple of unlucky seconds. Thirsk and Nottingham were the scenes of the victories and they both won in convincing fashion. In the Seller, METRONOMIC was ridden by the new stable apprentice in Rossa Ryan, who waited patiently in behind horses before coming with a nice run late on to win with a bit of ease. BRAZTIME was the other filly who was successful for Chris Giles in the Fillies Handicap. ‘She had very little luck in running at Lingfield on her seasonal debut and was only really asked to pick up late on when she got some room. She has come on nicely for that run and appreciated the mile here. She had a good blow and should come on again and will be very capable of winning another handicap.’

The three two year old fillies all finished in second place with OUT OF THE FLAMES being very unlucky not to break her maiden  on the first attempt. The daughter of Showcasing owned by Sheikh Fahad was making her debut having been bought from the breeze ups. ‘That was a very encouraging debut and I think she will go on from here to win her maiden next time. She is a filly we think plenty of and she could develop into a black type filly in time.’ The others wereLEXINGTON GRACE and ELYSIUM DREAM who both ran with promise and both should be winning very soon.
