Danehill Kodiac and winning connections

DANEHILL KODIAC was the centre of attention for the team on Saturday. Having had 316 days off the track the son of Kodiac was making his seasonal re-appearance and according to all reports had been going very nicely at home. Sean had him handy throughout and once he was asked to pick up inside the final half mile he did so impressively and forged clear in the closing stages. ‘He is a lovely colt now who has furnished up really well. We had a slight set back at the beginning of the year but he has come good now and is a horse on the improve. I was very taken with his performance and this opens up plenty of options for him at the back end of the year. I will sit down and discuss our next port of call in the coming week and go from there.’

An across the card double was had also with HABBAD winning nicely at Doncaster. ‘He won with a bit in hand as I felt he just idled when he hit the front. I hope now he has started to get the hang of things he can notch up a few wins in a row. He has always been a colt with plenty of ability but I think he is finally coming to himself.’

Saturday also saw some solid performances with ZEBULON going down by just a nose and INNER CIRCLE by half a length. The horses continue to be in good form and running consistently.

Today’s action is from Lingfield and Windsor. The debutant HEIDI goes in the first this evening and there looks to be some nice chances throughout the day.
