Hollie Doyle Winning On Tomily

Just a handful of horses ended up heading to the races on Saturday and the team were rewarded with a nice double at Lingfield and a couple of strong placed efforts. The first of those winners came when Frankie made a bold move turning for home and kicked WAHASH clear to win in decisive fashion. ‘The horse has been working nicely at home and appears to have strengthened up again. He loves the all-weather and so I will see what races are available going forward before making any set plans.’

The next winner came when TOMILY got through late on under a cool Hollie Doyle to land the sprint. Backing up from his full brothers victory on Thursday, Tomily brought up his fifth career win. ‘He is such a tough horse who puts his all into every race. The pace early on really suited him and he was able to find the gaps and finish off strongly up to the line. The plan now is to head straight to Good Friday at Lingfield where there should be a strong early gallop and with a bit of luck he should finish in the first three.’

The two placed efforts came from SALLAB and ATEEM who both managed to get very close to victory. The former was unlucky as he got a long way back in running before sticking on gamely up to the line. Ateem was right there throughout and was just beaten by a better horse on the day.

ACROSS THE STARS headed to post on Sunday at Doncaster and managed to finish second in what was a competitive four runner affair. He was on the front end throughout but couldn’t go with them when they quickened and only really started to stay on late.
