George Strikes Again

Tue 10 October 2017

Another very successful day was had on Monday bringing in the seventh winner in just a couple of days. MOTOWN MICK was the first one on the cards at Windsor under Timmy Murphy. The son of Intikhab was away well from the gates and sat in the ideal spot. He travelled nicely into the race and picked up strongly to the line. 'He keeps on improving and looks a horse for next year. He appreciated the step up to the mile and should win more races off that. He will be a fun horse to have in the yard for Mick and Norman.'

The second winner came at Pontefract with THE GRAPE ESCAPE taking the big handicap in impressive style. 'He has won his last two starts impressively and seems to still be improving. I think he will have a big year next year and I might only run once more this year.'

GEORGE WILLIAM was dropping back in class in the Conditions Race at Salisbury having run a solid Third in a Listed race at Newbury. He won easily in convincing fashion under Tom Marquand. 'He didn't need to do too much in winning there at Salisbury and is a horse that keeps on improving. He also has a few options for the rest of the year before he has a break.'

The final and fourth winner of the day was from Kempton where Chelsea Thoroughbreds owned SERGIO LEONE got the job done under Andrea Atzeni. 'He is a lovely colt who will be much better next year. He is still on the weak side but he did that well. I think he will be better off having a nice break now and we have a lot to look after next year.'

Today's action is from Brighton and Leicester.
