Jazz Hits the Right Note

Wed 08 August 2018

A successful start to a new week with two winners at Windsor on Monday night. The first of those came in the opening race with DOCTOR JAZZ. The Michael Pescod owned colt was making his handicap debut and under a positive ride never looked like getting beat from the outset. ‘He has run a couple of decent efforts in Novice events but this was always going to be where he could excel. He has won well and is a horse that could go one and win a couple more with that confidence under his belt. Its great to have another winner for Michael who puts a lot into the game.’

The second winner came a few races later as MUSHTAQ just managed to dominate as the line drew closer. He is another horse owned by Al Shaqab who had a very successful week last week at Goodwood. Under a positive ride from Tom Marquand, he got the job doing bringing up the double for the stable and the jockey. ‘He will be better on a more galloping track but I was glad he battled back so gamely this evening. He should also be able to progress from this.’
