NAYEL BATTLES HARD FOR VICTORY

Tue 08 May 2018

After what was a sensational weekend for the team at Newmarket, the winning form continued yesterday with NAYEL at Windsor who was having his first start of the year under Classic winning jockey Sean Levey. The five year old son of Acclamation has a very good record fresh and conditions suited him ideally. He was sent to the front in the early stages and battled on gamely for pressure in the closing stages. ‘It was great this horse could win yesterday as I have some good friends in the ownership group. He loves these conditions and won despite having a good blow afterwards. He is getting older but he is still running good races. The plan will be to freshen him up and go again. We will see what the handicapper does next week.’

The team are still getting over what happened on Sunday and with the nice weather we are having at the moment it makes everything a lot easier. ‘We are all still on a high and over the moon for the filly and her owners. She is a smashing filly and we are still deciding on what her next race will be. She has come out of her race in fantastic order and I look forward to what this year has in store.’

Today’s action comes from Brighton with two runners heading to post. The short priced HAYLAH who has gone close on a couple of occasions and also ATEEM who has managed to fill the placings a few times.
