Open Day a Huge Success

Mon 02 September 2019

This weekend we opened our doors to the public for the first time in order to raise money for The Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Greatwood charities. Gates opened at 10am and the day started with a a parade of our stable stars and the opportunity to see the likes of Threat and Mums Tipple canter up the gallops.

People were then invited to wander around the yard to view the horses and what goes on behind the scenes at Herridge with a farrier and veterinary demonstration to show the different ways we try to keep the horses in their best physical and mental condition.

Former professional jump jockey Dominic Elsworth attended to provide people with lessons on our equicizers on how to ride in a race.

Away from the horses, party planners Sharky & George provided fun and games and footballer Charlie Austin was in attendance to have a kick around with and sign autographs.

It was a lovely day and great to show people our facilities whilst raising money for two great causes.
