Saturday Four Timer

Fancy Man

Another super Saturday for the team as we saddled FOUR winners across three racecourses!

At Haydock we had FANCY MAN returning to the scene of his debut win to contest in the Ascendant Stakes – a listed race over one mile. Having run a superb race at Salisbury a fortnight ago to come a very close second in the listed Stonehenge Stakes we were delighted to see him go one better under Ryan Moore to win the Ascendant Stakes in good style by 3 ¼ lengths for Mr Michael Pescod. This Pride Of Dubai colt oozes class and will be stepping up into group company later this season.

On the all-weather at Kempton DINGLE broke his maiden on the third attempt for Michael Kerr-Dineen and Martin Hughes. This Footstepsinthesand colt has improved for each of his runs and stepping up to a mile for the first time he kept on well towards the finish to win nicely by half a length under Pat Dobbs.

WHAT AN ANGEL made it a Kempton double a few races later to land the Unibet Handicap under Sean Levey for the Radley Racing Club. This Dark Angel gelding has always shaped very well in his work at home but ran a touch inconsistently as a two year old. Richard kept faith in him and having run into place money on four of his runs this year it was a relief to see his patience rewarded with a long overdue victory on this return to the all-weather surface. It was a special victory for The Radley Racing club;

"I was delighted to see What An Angel win today for The Radley Racing Club. The Radley Racing Club was set up in 2018 by Freddie Stone, Archie George, Nico Reid-Scott and Billy Greenall. The Tattersalls society as it is known at College is a society stooped in tradition but had never had a horse before. George May, the master in charge has encouraged numerous dinners with racing industry professionals including Richard Hannon (winning trainer) and ITV presenter Luke Harvey. Ed Walker, a former Radleian himself, also has spoken at events. The horse was bought at The Broad Appeal charity dinner auction in aid of research into Motor Neurone Disease. A wonderful charity which we were happy to support. A big thank you to Richard Hannon for his immense generosity"

The fabulous four timer was completed at Wolverhampton where ROCKY DREAMS landed a seven furlong novice for Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum. This three year old colt by Muhaarar was making just his second racecourse appearance and from stall one he made most of the running to win by half a length under a confident Kieran O’Neill.

A big congratulations to all connections and of course a massive thank you to our wonderful team at home who work so hard to make all this possible.
