Gisburn

Gisburn

We’re all very pleased to see the return of Gisburn in the Coral Beaten-By-A-Length Free Bet Rockingham Stakes at York on Saturday, as he spent much of the summer raring to go after his disappointing run at Royal Ascot. He’s been flying up the gallops at Everleigh and it would be fantastic for his owners Michael Kerr Dineen and Martin Hughes to see him return to the form he showed us at the start of the season. Sean Levey takes the ride for the first time and we’re hoping he can go close in what looks a very competitive Listed contest.

Our lovely Siyouni colt Witch Hunter also lines up in the same race after two near misses on his first two starts. He’s a horse we have always thought a lot of since we picked him up from the breeze-ups back in May.

Foden/Dukebox

We send two up to Newmarket with the aim of taking home the Group 3 Godolphin Flying Start Zetland Stakes, with our first two-year-old winner of the season Dukebox hoping to cap off what has been an impressive juvenile season. This step up in trip will be no problem for him and he is expected to put in a bold show for his owners J K Powell Racing.

Lining up alongside him just a week after his comeback run is the talented Foden, who ran with a lot of credit off a long break just last weekend at Newmarket in a valuable sales race. He’s a horse we have thought a lot of from the moment he arrived, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he ran a very big race.
