SATURDAY

DONCASTER

1:50 G2 Champagne Stakes
Chindit (Pat Dobbs)

The form of his win in the Winkfield Stakes at Ascot couldn’t have worked out any better and this race has been the plan ever since then. The ground is absolutely perfect and hopefully this will be a stepping stone towards bigger things because he’s a colt we’ve always held in the very highest regard and I’m really looking forward to seeing how far up the ladder he can go. He is an extremely exciting prospect.

2:25 Portland Handicap
Wedding Date (Theodore Ladd)

She’s a real tough filly who always runs her race and Theo’s 3lbs claim will be a big advantage in a race as competitive as this. I’ve been happy with her at home and she goes there in good shape.

3:00 G2 Park Stakes
Urban Icon (Pat Dobbs)

We are struggling to win with him but he’s a very talented horse who’s got some pretty good form to his name. I think 7 furlongs on a track like this will be right up his street and the quicker the ground the better.

4:05 Handicap
Dingle (Pat Dobbs)

He is a very big horse who wanted every yard of the mile last time so I imagine we’ll be stepping him up sooner rather than later but this is his trip for now and we’ve done nothing with him at home since his win at Kempton to keep him as fresh as possible. That victory would’ve done his confidence a lot of good and I expect him to go extremely well.

Mark Of The Man (Dane O’Neill)
He ran a nice race at York last time when probably not getting the best of runs but the step up to a mile will suit and he’s been in very good form at home, although he is plenty high enough in the weights.

CHESTER

3:45 Nursery
Riffaa Wonder (David Egan)

He’s a horse with a lot of pace who got the job done nicely at Thirsk last time and has continued to improve at home. Stall one is absolutely ideal and I’ll be disappointed if he’s not able to follow up.

LINGFIELD

2:45 Fillies’ Handicap
Willa (Thore Hammer Hansen)

She’s still in maiden but has put up some decent placed efforts so I would expect her winning opportunity to be just around the corner. Her jockey’s claim is a help and there are no excuses today.

4:25 Fillies’ Handicap
Al Dawodiya (Sean Levey)

She’s been in generally good form all season and probably should have one more than just one race. We’ll probably make plenty of use of her around here and with a bit of luck she can go close.

5:30 Fillies’ Novice
Little Rollright (Sean Levey)

She was probably a bit unlucky not to win on her first run at Salisbury but that experience will have done her the world of good and she’s been in great form at home. She’s win material in my book.

6:00 Handicap
What An Angel (Sean Levey)

He won nicely last time and has done very little at home over the past week so arrives here nice and fresh. He’s only a three-year-old so it’s going to be tough carrying alll that weight against his elders but he’s in good shape and should run a sound race.

King’s View (Thore Hammer Hansen)
He’s a little bit inconsistent but ran well last time and if he can put two runs together he goes there with a solid chance.
