War Glory

We have racing tomorrow at Chester, Goodwood, Salisbury, Haydock and York. TONY CURTIS is making his seasonal reappearance in the Listed Festival Stakes. ‘He is having his first run back and will in no doubt need this run. This will give us a good guide as to where to head next.’ Other runners at Goodwood include the highly touted BILLESDON BESS who was very encouraging on debut at Salisbury when staying on late in the Fillies Conditions race. ‘She has improved plenty for the run and is in great form. I would expect her to go very close tomorrow. MEDAHIM is a nice horse who won very easily at Kempton on debut. He was disappointing last time because he hated the ground but back on better ground he should be very competitive.’

Haydock runners include PARIS PROTOCOL and MUSTARRID. The former ran well at Salisbury on his first start this year. ‘He has been in great form and has really come on for the run. He will appreciate the step up in trip and the ground should be ideal. MUSTARRID got very lost last time at Newmarket coming down into the dip but stayed on well late on. This track will suit ideally and he is there to run a big race.’

WAR GLORY heads to York and should run a bold race. ‘He is a horse who does suit the all weather and I wouldn’t want the ground to be to firm up there. He has been running well and I would expect him to go close.’ ROYAL HOUSEHOLD and MOVE OVER are both making their debuts. ‘They are two nice horses but I would expect them to come on plenty for this experience. Saying that I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them managed to get their head in front.’
