Tabarrak Remains On The Improve

Tabarrak working far side before his Ascot victory yesterday

Another Listed victory came yesterday in the shape of TABARRAK for Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum and Shadwell Stud. He has been ultra-consistent and remains relatively lightly raced for a four year old, having never finished out of the first two on all seven starts. ‘He has been an absolute delight to train and although he has had his issues, he is tough enough to overcome them and continues to get his head in front. This was a big step up in grade for him but he had no problem seeing off the opposition. Getting cover early helps as he can want to get going early if he has too much daylight. There is no reason why he won’t continue to progress and there are a few options coming up for him in the next month. I will speak to the team and make a decision in the coming weeks as to where we will head next.’

A couple of nice fillies made promising seasonal re-appearances in the Conditions race. FLEETING MOTION came there to win her race before getting tired and SOLDIERS GIRL ran on late as to suggest she wants further. ‘They are fillies who are on the upward spiral and can progress into black type fillies one day.’

Today’s racing comes from Lingfield and Redcar and Richard has three runners heading to the races. ‘PILLAR OF SOCIETY was bit fresh last time and ran too keen in running. That run should bring him on nicely and a drop back in class should be right up his alley.’ TAFAAKHOR finally got his head in front last time and still has room to progress. ‘He has always been a horse who once he gets a taste for winning may notch up a few in a row.’
The final runner is from Redcar in the shape of RITA’S MAN who made a nice comeback at Wolverhampton. He should have come on from that run and should be competitive here.
