Windsor Treble

Out of The Dark wins on her second start

With just three runners heading to Windsor on Monday night the team came away with a very nice treble. The first of these came in the opening event with the daughter of Showcasing bought by Qatar Racing at the breeze up sales, winning in good style. OUT OF THE FLAMES was within the leading trio throughout and once she got to the leaders, she took off and won nicely on the line. ‘She was unlucky not to win at Ascot on debut. She has always been a very straight forward filly and this was a nice way to get the job done. Royal Ascot is now on the agenda and the stiff five furlongs in the Queen Mary is right up her street.’

The second winner came with ELSIUM DREAM in the six furlongs novice stakes. She was having her second start and although she won here, she still showed signs of greenness throughout. ‘She is another nice filly and it appears the further she goes the better she goes. She was very green at Lingfield but did stay on eye catchingly and here she took a while to get into stride and only got going late on. She could be a very nice filly for the future and at the moment I will keep her options open. It was great for the lads to have a winner so soon and hopefully she can continue on her progression.’

The final winner came in the last with FAST AND HOT. He was backing up from Friday’s win at Newbury. ‘He really liked that ground at Newbury so I was a little worried coming to Windsor when the ground is drying out all the time. He was running without a penalty and I was very happy he could get the job done. He does need plenty of give in the ground and so I won’t be too keen to run unless we have had more rain.’

Just the two runners at Brighton today. FANFAIR has been off the track for a while and needs to raise her game here to get involved. ‘She hasn’t grown a huge amount but she has filled out and so I hope she ran run a competitive race here.’ The other is FUSION CENTRAL who is making her debut. ‘She has shown enough to run and she will come on plenty for the experience.’
