Yearling Season

Mon 15 November 2021

This time of year is always full of anticipation and excitement for the future, as the next generation of racing stars go through the ring at numerous sales around the world. As per usual, our partnership with Peter and Ross Doyle has allowed us to procure some of the premier talent on show, including progeny from top stallions such as this seasons Champion sire in the UK and Ireland Frankel, as well as Dubawi, Sea The Stars, Kodiac, Dark Angel, Lope De Vega and Night of Thunder.

We are always on the lookout for the next sire of the moment, and we purchased some lovely types by up-and-coming sires Profitable, Cotai Glory and more. Some first season sires we have supported include Darley’s Harry Angel, and we were lucky to pick up two gorgeous colts by the sire, who already look like they will be classy juveniles. Also, we’re excited to see what Almanzor achieves with his first crop, which includes a strapping colt out of Alta Stima who we picked up from the Goffs Orby Sale.

We haven’t stopped searching for the next superstar however, and we plan to be active all the way through the sales season and we are even looking forward to the breeze up sales in the Spring.

There’s still time to get involved, as we have a few left for sale including a gorgeous filly by Australian sire Zoustar out of Threetimesalady, herself related to numerous stakes winners. She looks an early type and would be one to have a lot of fun with next year.

Still for sale is a cracking son of first season sire Awtaad out of an unraced mare named My Henrietta. She was a half-sister to the classy Western Australia who was just a length behind Saxon Warrior in the Group 1 Vertem Futurity Trophy in 2018. The mix of stamina and speed in his pedigree promises he will be effective as a juvenile and long into his career as he progresses.
