A Winning Weekend

Although only ten days into the month of June, Team Hannon has been firing on all cylinders and raking in the winners.With three winners on the 1st of June and another three on Monday the 3rd, the team was further represented by individual winners; In The Cove at Lingfield on Tuesday and Ouzo at Nottingham on Wednesday. Not stopping there, the team then prepared a further three winners on Saturday to bring the total to 11 wins in just 10 days. With 11 winners and a 21% winners to runners strike rate so far for June, Team Hannon has now amassed 52 wins for the season. 

Continuing the winning streak on Saturday, seasoned galloper War Glory kicked things off with an impressive win at Chelmsford. Relishing the all-weather surface, the gelding returned to the winners’ enclosure when successfully bringingup his second win of the preparation and fifth of his career. Owned by Mohamed Saeed Al Shahi, War Glory may now head to the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot next week. With just two Hannon runners at Chelmsford for the afternoonthe stable returned with the win by War Glory and a credible second place finish by Dragon Sun

These performances were then bettered by the stable scoring winning double at Lingfield. A two-year-old daughter of Gutaifan, Ocasio Cortez has certainly been knocking on the door with promising performances behind in form Godolphin juveniles, Pinatubo and Divine Spirit. On Saturday, the fillyput on a most dominant display when running away to score by 2 ½ lengths. Sent out favourite in the Saturday evening contest, the filly looks sure to be an exciting filly for the future for owner Kublir Sohi

Just two races later at Lingfield, Team Hannon was back in the winner’s enclosure with another sprinting talent, four-year-old gelding Buridan. The Al Shaqab owned son of Choisir has been in consistent form of late and was most impressive when collecting his fourth win of his career. This win was the 11th winner in the first ten days of June for Team Hannon, with the stable having so far recorded a tally of 11 wins, 8 seconds and 8 thirds across the board

Today, the team looks to further add to the count with two runners at both Lingfield and Salisbury. Three-year-old Dark Angel filly Penarth Pier makes the trip across to Lingfield along with the two-year-old Kodiac filly, Love Love for King Power Racing. Meanwhile, debut winner Quick looks to return to her winning ways for owner Julie Wood at Salisbury with last start winner Orliko also set to make the trip across

All four runners are scheduled to race in the space of 45 minutes, with the first runner set to be Penarth Pier at Lingfield at 2:30pm.
