Billy Dylan Wins Second Time Out

Billy Dylan

Friday’s racing at Brighton saw the son of Excelebration, BILLY DYLAN get his head in front on only his second career start, having run green on debut at Newbury. He improved markedly here to win in convincing fashion and now looks a horse set to head to the Royal Meeting. ‘He has always been a nice horse and he didn’t fire at Newbury. He won well today and is definitely in contention for either the Norfolk or the Windsor Castle. He will improve again stepping up to six furlongs which opens up his options.’

It was a wet affair Saturday afternoon in Wales and STRAIGHT ASH added another victory for the stable bringing our total for the year to 72. The son of Zebedee improved from his last start going 5 furlongs at Windsor and seemed to relish the softer going at Chepstow. Away awkwardly, he was collected by Hollie Doyle and chased the leaders before passing his opposition a furlong out to win comfortably. 'He has come on nicely and improved significantly with each start. He seemed to enjoy the soft going and we will look to stretch him out to six furlongs next time out'.

Racing today will take place at Brighton and Windsor where we will be represented by six runners. BURIDAN makes his debut at the races at Windsor. 'He came from the breeze ups and has been showing plenty of speed on the gallops. He is a lovely colt and I expect a big run from him today.'

HERMANN is dropping back in trip. The 4 year old son of Authorized is in good form recently running second at Doncaster. 'He has been running well and this looks like another nice opportunity but he won't be too happy if it continues to dry out.'
