Buridan Impresses On Debut

Tue 13 June 2017

Two more winners were added to the tally yesterday with ABOUT GLORY wining at Brighton and BURIDAN winning on debut at Windsor.

ABOUT GLORY was away well from the gates but was held up and sat midfield under Tom Marquand. He did not have the clearest of runs coming into the final two furlongs but was brought to the lead inside the last furlong and stayed on strongly to draw clear of his opposition. 'The addition of blinkers were a big help to him and I was much more impressed with his attitude today. Now he can go on and hopefully win a few more.'

The Al Shaqab colour-bearer BURIDAN impressed when winning his first trip to the races. He was away very sharply for Frankie Dettori and made all of the running. He was pressured inside the last furlong but fought off his competition to win. 'He is a lovely colt who we have really liked ever since he arrived in the stable. He did well to win on the first time of asking and will come on plenty for the run. He has a great disposition and an air of class about him. I will see about Ascot, that decision will be made this week.'
