Cloak Of Spirits lands our 100th winner of the season

Fri 25 September 2020

Having run a host of good races this season, including second to Love in the 1000 Guineas, CLOAK OF SPIRITS really deserved this listed Newmarket success. Given a positive ride by Andrea Atzeni she hit the front inside the final three furlongs and stuck to the task really gamely to go on and score by half a length for owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum. It was great to get her a black type win to her name and as Richard said; "She will make a lovely brood mare. She has put a good value on herself and her pedigree".

Speaking after the race he said; "She's run really well all year and to be fair she seems to be really enjoying it, I was delighted to see her win today. She is a very sweet filly and to me she always looked like she was going to win. She really deserves it - the form is really solid."

This success brought up our 100th winner for the year which is a great result given that we have missed such a large chunk of the season due to the Coronavirus outbreak. We have to thank our very loyal and supportive owners for their patience during this time and our staff for working through and keeping the horses in such good health. There is plenty of racing left before season end and we look forward to seeing how many more we can add to our tally.
