Crystal Malt primed for big run at Lingfield

KIEREN O'NEILL

KIEREN O'NEILL is making full use of his opportunities for the boss on the all-weather, and, hopefully, we might have out him on a winner in the shape of Crystal Malt in the fillies handicap at Lingfield tomorrow.

Richard Hannon said: "Crystal Malt ran a blinder on her only other previous visit to Lingfield, and she has been consistent all year, being unlucky not to finish closer than third at Wolverhampton last week.

"The one draw is normally an advantage at Lingfield, but she is a hold-up filly and if we drop her in we will have to hope we get the breaks, though there are only seven runners so it ought to be no problem. She is a pound out of the handicap proper, but that, too, is not a worry."
