Headshot gets off the mark

Mon 05 October 2020

It was good to see HEADSHOT get off the mark at Wolverhampton on the weekend for owners Jonathan Palmer-Brown and Mick Daniels. Having undergone wind surgery in August we fancied him to run a big race last time out but he had a nightmare run and was never able to make a challenge. Thankfully we had a bit more luck this time around and given a great ride by Thore Hammer-Hansen he burst through inside the final furlong to win by a neck.

Our two other runners at Wolverhampton also ran super races and were only narrowly denied victory. SHALANEZ beaten just a neck and THE CINCINNATI KID by a head.

Over at Newmarket CLOAK OF SPIRITS ran a huge race in the Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes up against older fillies to finish a very respectable 3rd beaten just a length and a quarter.
