Limelite Wins At Newbury

Fri 16 June 2017

A nice winner at Newbury yesterday under Ryan Moore made for a successful day. LIMLITE who is a daughter of Dark Angel who was having her seventh run, made a bold bid for home under the champion jockey and won convincingly in the end. ‘She was much improved the other day at Lingfield and it was great to get her head in front here. She will take away plenty of confidence and hopefully this will lead to her winning a few more races.’

Todays action comes from Sandown, Goodwood and Chepstow with only a handful of runners. With two nice two year olds taking their places at Sandown, GLACEON looks the best hope. ‘She ran well last time at Sandown and has come on plenty for that experience. She was slightly slow away but made a strong challenge late on. She should be hard to beat. SALLAB is having his first day at the races and should come on for the experience. He is a lovely colt and has done everything right at home so far.’

ROYAL HOUSEHOLD is having his second run at Goodwood after an encouraging effort at York. ‘He is a lovely colt who has come on a lot for his first run. He is in great form and I would expect him to be very hard to beat.’ THAT’S MY GIRL is making her debut at Chepstow this evening. ‘She has been showing the right signs at home. The race looks competitive with most of the runners having had experience. She will come on plenty for the run and I expect her to be doing her best work late on.’
