Winning Connections
Saturday evening saw our 144th of the calendar year cross the line in the form of KODIAS SANGARIUS and her partner Sean Levey. The pair travelled comfortably for much of the contest and quickened well up the inside rail to turn over an odds-on favourite. She has come such a long way from the beginning of the season where there was clearly something amiss, and it’s a testament to the team at home to get her winning races in a matter of months.
Her victory also marked a significant moment for owners Middleham Park Racing, as it was their 104th winner of the calendar year, the most in their long history. That monumental number of winners also broke the British record, an achievement to be very proud of and one that they will want to go for again in 2022!
