Nugget winning under Rossa Ryan

With 16 runners across four meetings it was all hands on deck for the team and we were delighted to see some smart performances and came away with five winners and a 31% strike rate.

First up was Blenheim Holdings' HAPPY ROMANCE having her second start. She ran a decent race at Newmarket on debut but had some trouble in running and was caught further back than ideal so we were confident that she would improve from the experience. She travelled well under Sean Levey and was still on the bridle with a furlong to go - she was pushed out under hands and heals riding to stretch away to win easily by 4 1/2 lengths.

Michael Pescod & Justin Dowley's MANIGORDO brought up a quick fire double for the team by making all to win comfortably again under our own Sean Levey. We were delighted to see him finally break his maiden having run some smart races as a two year old.

MAMBO NIGHTS brought up the Sandown treble for Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoumand also broke his maiden by making virtually all under Pat Dobbs. We have always thought a lot of this colt by Hanava Gold and he was unlucky to come accross some smart horses such as Quadrilateral and Kenzai Warrior in Maidens and Novices last year. He appreciated the step up to 1m2f and put the race to bed comfortable in the final furlong to win by 2 1/4 lengths.

Meanwhile up at Doncaster Highclere's NUGGET won comfortably under Rossa Ryan. He is another colt that we thought a lot of last season and he has matured well over the winter. The step up one one mile suited him well and there should be plenty more to come from this son on Siyouni.

And finally, to bring up the fabulous five timer, we had LOVE POWERFUL contesting the Whetstone 6f handicap at Leicester for King Power Racing. She was quite a big price at 16/1 but her two year old form is solid and she had been working really well at home so we were not at all suprised to see her come home in front under Jack Mitchell.

Hopefully this good vein of form will continue as we head into Royal Ascot tomorrow!
