Yard heads into Goodwood week in good form

Sat 24 July 2021

Glorious Goodwood is back next week - one of our favourite weeks of the year and we cannot wait!! We've picked up five winners this week and our horses go into the festival in fine form.

After our fantastic treble at Newbury on Super Sprint day MOUNT RAINIER was our next success. Given a positive ride by Thore Hammer Hansen at Ffos Las, this filly by Kodiac won well for owners Sun Bloodstock on her Nursery debut. She showed a great attitude and should be a fun filly for connections.

The old boy MR TYRRELL has been in superb form this year, and having posted a cracking effort at Newbury on Super Sprint day to finish a close second under young Liam Browne, the duo teamed up again to go one better at Sandown on Thursday. Congratulations to owner Robert Tyrrell.

EHRAZ got off the mark at the second time of trying for the Shadwell Estate Company at Ascot on Friday. He is a colt that we have always thought a  lot of and it was no surprise to see this son of Showcasing win emphatically by over four lengths under Jim Crowley. He looks sure to have a bright future.

Meanwhile up at York we landed a big price winner of the Listed Lyric Fillies' Stakes. ARISTIA showed an exceptionally game attitude to battle on tenaciously to win by a short head under a fine ride from Hayley Turner for Mrs E Roberts at 22/1. Congratulations to connections.

Saturday saw us gain a winner at one of our local tracks, Salisbury. Having just missed out on her last run, THEOTHERSIDE went one better to win under Rossa Ryan for Mrs B Austin leading home stable mate BELLA NOTTE by a neck.

Let's hope the good run continues into next week!
