Yard in fine form as we land a treble on Saturday

Chindit - Listed winner at Ascot

We headed into the weekend in good form having had doubles on Thursday and Friday and our Saturday runners certainly didn't let us down with three good winners and four runners up.

MOHAWK KING landed the first race at Ascot on his racecourse debut for owner Isa Salman Al Khalifa. This son of Siyouni was given a very patient ride by Pat Dobbs - held up in last he made good headway approaching the final furlong and ran on well to get up and win by a head. He will come on masses for the experience and looks a very promising colt.

As Newmarket's July course THEOTHERSIDE won her third race from six starts for Mrs B Austin. Having tracked the leaders under Thore Hammer Hansen (3) she made a strong challenge a furlong out and ran on well to win comfortably by 1 1/2 lengths. Having never been out of the first three this filly by Dandy Man is proving to be extremely consistent and continues to improve.

Our biggest winner of the day was courtesy of CHINDIT who won the Pat Eddery Stakes (Listed Race) at Ascot for Mr Michael Pescod under Pat Dobbs. This colt by Wootton Bassett won handsomely on debut at Doncaster and he put that experience to good use to improve again to stamp his class over the ten runner field. Given a typically cool and confident ride by Pat he made smooth headway from the rear of the field to lead inside the final furlong and he ran on well to win easily by 1 3/4 lengths. He looks to be a very exciting prospect.

We also had some very good seconds - SNOW LANTERN (Frankel x Sky Lantern) was runner up on her racecourse debut, COLLINSBAY of HM The Queen ran a great race to just get headed on the line, LYRIC GOLD was beaten just half a length on his second start and BAY OF WHISPERS was unlucky to run into one up at York but was well clear of the third placed horse.
