Admiralty Flies The Flag On Day Two

Admiralty Arch & Richard

The second day of York brought around the second winner for Richard Hannon. The son of Archipenko, owned by Henry Ponsonby, was having his second start in what looked a very competitive maiden on paper. ADMIRALTY ARCH took advantage of his experience from Chantilly to get the job done under a strong ride from Jimmy Fortune. ‘When he went to Chantilly last time I thought he would run much better than he did as he had been working very well at home. He was impressive there today and looks like a Chesham horse and there should be no reason not to go after that display.’ He is out of an In The Wings mare which should suggest that he will get over plenty of ground.

The Team Wallop owned OH THIS IS US wins very impressively for the second time this season. ‘He has improved a lot from his first start and I couldn’t believe he was the price he was having won so easily at Chelmsford. He looks a very progressive type who will appreciate a flatter track. There are some lovely three year old handicaps over a mile which would really suit him including the Brittania.’
