Jalela Wins With Bit In Hand

Sat 09 September 2017

JALELA won well last night on her second start in handicaps. She was a bit fresh at Chelmsford a few weeks back and couldn’t finish off her race. She had no problem seeing off the opposition at Kempton and won well in the end. ‘She has always been a nice filly and she ran some good races earlier on in the year. She had a little set back and has come back even stronger this time around. She won with a bit in hand there last night and should have no trouble going in again.’ The other runner from last night was RESHAAN also owned by Al Shaqab Racing. He was making his debut and despite being green throughout he showed plenty of promise to finish a good fourth.

Today’s racing comes from Kempton and Ascot. DANEHILL KODIAC makes his Group race debut in the September Stakes under Sean Levey. The son of Kodiac won on his seasonal reappearance last time at Newmarket in good fashion. ‘This is a tougher test for him but he is heading the right way. He has been in good order since that race and I am hoping for a good run.’
