See The Sea Dominates Up North

Thu 10 August 2017

Another winner on a very wet and windy Wednesday. The UK got hit by a deluge of rain and turned the vast majority of tracks soft. SEE THE SEA won the Gentleman Amateurs Handicap up at Pontefract on soft ground. Ben James sent her forward and never saw another rival in running. ‘She is tough and the head gear has really helped. She looks on an upward spiral and after that she should have no trouble winning again. It’s a long way to send one up north but this trip was worth it in the end.’

On a Wednesday marred with over a hundred non-runners, Thursday looks as though it will be no different as the rain affected ground has turned heavy at a few places. Sandown has been hit hard and Richard is sending three runners to post. The best of those chances is HIGHLAND MARY in the first who was unlucky not to get her head in front last time. She ran a close second on soft ground and should have no trouble with the underfoot conditions. Other runners come from Wolverhampton in the shape of DANDIESQUE and ALMOREB.
