ASCOT

1:30

Sir Rumi (Kevin Stott)

He was very good in the Metropolitan Handicap at Epsom last time on soft ground, which he’s got again here, and we’ve kept him nice and fresh at home since. The Handicapper has put him up another 4lbs so there’s no margin for error but the stiff track will suit and he’s in great form.

3:10

Son (Pat Dobbs)
He’s a smart colt by Too Darn Hot who has been doing everything right at home and we like him a lot. As with many of our two-year-olds, he’ll improve for the run, but he’s done plenty and this is a good starting point so he should go very well.

Western (Jim Crowley)
His work has been good, and he’ll definitely be winning races, but I do think he’ll come on plenty for the experience.

3:45

King’s Code (Sam Hitchcott)

He shaped with promise on all three starts as a juvenile and could be quite nicely treated on his Handicap debut. The step up a little bit in trip is a positive and he handles soft ground. He’s quite interesting.

HAYDOCK

3:50

Mums Tipple (Sean Levey)
We were looking at the Victoria Cup at Ascot but he’d have had top weight in that so it makes sense to come here instead in what should be a slightly easier opportunity and he ran a nice race last time.

NOTTINGHAM

4:45

Starnberg (Alec Voikhansky)

He’s still a Maiden but has been generally consistent and boasts some decent form. We gelded him over the winter and he’s been in great shape at home. He handles the ground and, being honest, we won’t be looking for any excuses here.

LINGFIELD

5:15

God Of Thunder (Marco Ghiani)

I think he’s crying out for this trip and he ran well at Bath last time. He’s put two solid efforts together this season (since being gelded) and won’t mind the switch to the All Weather because he works on it every day! The Handicapper appears to have him right where he wants but I’m hoping he might be able to eke out a little more improvement over this distance and he has a serious chance.
