Brighton Treble & Yard Four Timer

Thu 09 August 2018

A successful Wednesday afternoon from both Brighton and Kempton. Richard sent out eight runners In all and came home with four winner. The first of those came in the Novice Stakes for two year olds at Brighton. BIG BABY BULL have just his second career start brought home a one-two for the yard in good style and put his experience to good use. ‘He didn’t handle the track at all but once he hit the rising ground there was no stopping him. He is a lovely colt who ran impressively at Doncaster first time and I think he should be able to improve again off todays effort. It was great that Chris Giles and his family made it down from London to see him and were duly rewarded.’

The second winner was with ELYSIUM DREAM for the Racing Cricketers. Having run a nice race last week at Goodwood she backed that up with a convincing wind under Tom Marquand brining up a double for both the trainer and the jockey. ‘This was great for the lads who I am told managed to watch the game during training. She has done very well in her career including a Sales Race at the end of last year. She seems in great form and should have no trouble backing that up again.’

The third winner of the day came from Brighton as well with SHOYD coming from a long way back to claim victory under Thore Hammer Hansen. ‘She is a filly who we have struggled to get right this year but thing fell in place here and she looks in great shape. She will hopefully get her confidence back after this and should be able to notch another victory in the short furture.’

The final winner of the day was at Kempton where Andrea Atzeni steered home a decisive victor in MAAWARD. The son of Kodiac was having his first start this year after a long break and never looked like getting beat. ‘He gave him a lovely ride and I thought he looked after him nicely. He is a lovely colt and appears to love being allowed to bowl along. He will improve for this experience and is an exciting prospect for the future.’

Just the three runners today, they would all have chances. CHEEKY RASCAL at Brighton, GOOD LUCK FOX at Sandown and MOYASSER at Haydock.
