DONCASTER - THURSDAY

1:50
Yeah Nah (Sean Levey)

I’m not quite sure what happened at Newmarket last time, but the race was run in torrential rain and the ground was really kicking up so we’re putting it down to the fact she didn’t enjoy herself, but she’s much better than that as we saw when she showed a great attitude to win on debut, and this will be her first start in Nursery Company. She needs to bounce back, for sure, but the flatter track should suit and I’m hopeful of a better performance.

5:20
The Camden Colt (Sean Levey)

He was entered over a mile at Sandown on Friday, but it could turn up pretty soft there, so seven furlongs around here looks the best option and he’s had a nice break since the Super Sprint. His form is pretty smart and he’s a tough colt with a good attitude.

Mafnood (Jim Crowley)
I was impressed with him at Haydock because he was still very green and changed his legs a few times, but still managed to hold on to win and he will have learnt plenty from it. That race has thrown up a few subsequent winners, so the form is strong, and I’m not worried about the drop back in trip. He could develop into a classy colt.

We’ve got a few runners elsewhere and I’m hoping that Chequers Court can build on his very encouraging debut (at Newbury) in the 3:50 at Ffos Las.

Back at Doncaster later in the week and we’ve got Rosallion in the Champagne Stakes on Saturday along with Happy Romance who is a likely runner in the Portland. Witch Hunter is entered in the Park Stakes with Shouldvebeenaring.
