Fancy Man Heads Down Under

Thu 27 October 2022

After 16 racecourse appearances, 4 wins, 8 places and some 166 furlongs of racing, one of our yard favourites, Fancy Man, has been sold to race in Australia.

“He’s been bought for Annabel Neasham,” said Stuart Boman (Bloodstock agent) “We wanted a Melbourne Cup horse, so we thought we’d come and buy the best horse here, and I genuinely think he is.”

He is strong, consistent and genuine in every way. He probably did not get his just deserts on British soil and will now be lining up in all the best races in Australia where hopefully he will do himself proud.

A big thank you to his owner, Michael Pescod, whose investment in racehorse ownership is core to the future of our sport and without him and many others like him, there would be no game. These people love the horse and they love the sport!

Go and do your stuff Fancy. We will all be watching and hoping that you nab a big one down under!
