Glorious Goodwood Delivers Another Memorable Week for The Team
Glorious Goodwood once again proved to be a happy hunting ground for us, with the team saddling three winners across the five-day festival as Agrippa, Pershaada and Rafe’s Da Man all struck on one of the biggest stages of the Flat racing season.
The week got off to the perfect start when Agrippa announced himself as a colt of considerable promise, landing the opening maiden in determined fashion under Pat Dobbs. Having gone close on his previous start, the colt showed plenty of professionalism to get off the mark at one of racing’s most prestigious meetings, providing the yard with an ideal start to the festival.
Wednesday belonged to the exciting Pershaada, who produced a smart turn of foot to capture the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes under Sean Levey. The daughter of Persian Force built on her excellent Royal Ascot effort, and the victory earned her valuable black type, with bigger targets now firmly on the horizon. She also gained a “Win And You’re In” entry to the Breeders Cup which is exciting, so we’ll have to see how things go.
The celebrations continued later in the week as Rafe’s Da Man completed the Glorious Goodwood treble for the stable on Saturday under Pat Dobbs, adding another memorable success to an already outstanding festival.
Three winners at one of the sport’s most competitive and prestigious meetings is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the hard work of everyone here. From the staff at home to the owners who continue to support the yard, it was a week full of performances to celebrate.
With exciting horses across every age group continuing to progress, Glorious Goodwood 2026 will be remembered as another successful chapter for Richard Hannon Racing and one that provides plenty of momentum as the season moves into its latter stages.
