Glorious Goodwood - Day 3 Runners

Mon 27 July 2026

Thursday 30th July

2.25pm - Markel Richmond Stakes (Group 2)

Cut A Dash looks impeccable at home, he's doing everything asked of him and seems in fine fettle. He won on debut at York in May and ran a cracker of a race at Royal Ascot to finish fourth, he should run another big race all being well.

3.00pm - Gordon Stakes (Group 3)

Sahara King was narrowly beat in the London Gold Cup at Newbury in May, and unfortunately he didn't put his best foot forward and looked a bit wayward in his Ascot performance. We decided to geld him and I have been happy with him since. The step up in trip should suit him.

4.10pm - Goodwood Buccellati Handicap

Noble Vow was impressive at Haydock this Spring, and has had good form all season bar at Thirsk when the saddle slipped. He has been gelded since and is looking good at home, he should return to good form.

4.45pm - Whispering Angel Nursery Handicap

Shadow King is a smart looking colt who is in great form at home, having two wins from four runs this season. He heads to a deeper handicap for this race but the step up in trip should suit and there's no reason why he shouldn't run a good race.

5.20pm - Maiden Fillies' Stakes

I was very pleased with Elevating earlier this month, she ran a lovely race at York, keeping on well towards the finish for 2nd. She came out of it in good nick and continues to show a great attitude to her training at home, hopefully she's capable of progressing.

5.55pm - HKJC World Pool Handicap

Law Court is in great form, having done no worse than 2nd place this season. He last won at Sandown in May and was second again at Sandown last month over 1m1f. It's a big field of 20 so I expect them to set a strong pace, but that and the drop back in trip to a mile will suit him.
