Saturday 1st August
1.50pm - Highclere Castle Gin Summer Handicap
Nightime Dancer starts off our Friday runners at Goodwood. He had a credible season last year but I've been a little disappointed with him this time around. We blinkered him for his most recent run at Ascot which didn't seem to make the difference I wanted it to, but he looks in good shape at home and is doing everything asked of him. Hopefully he can turn it around for this nice handicap.
3.35pm - Goodwood Coral Stewards' Cup (Heritage Handicap)
Fandom is an honest gelding who always tries, he's had a good season so far and it was nice to get a win on the board back in May. He was a good 3rd to Dubai Bling at Ascot earlier this month and is in fine form at home so I'm certain he'll run his race.
4.45pm - Maiden Stakes
Rafe's Da Man is progressing well in his 2yo campaign, I was pleased with his last run at Newbury a couple of weeks ago. He's the most experienced of this field so hopefully that'll give him an advantage and he can improve from his last run.
Magi Melchior is pleasing with his efforts at home and has been consistent with his two runs so far. I think he needs this extra furlong so the longer trip should suit and he's certainly open to improvement.
5.20pm - Coral Rewards Shaker Handicap
Boyfriend has been in great form this summer. He's a very reliable type and is nice and straight forward to train. He'll definitely make his presence known, and I have no doubt he'll run another solid race.
