2:05 Mr Baloo
He’s in the form of his life and has been a star on the All Weather during the winter. This is a step up in grade, but he’s off a mark of 90 and still appears to be improving. A mile and a quarter is his trip so hopefully he can run another big race.
3:15 Mum’s Tipple
He hasn’t won for a while but, as a consequence, has come down the weights to quite an attractive mark, and a stiff six appears to suit him best. He’s a yard favourite and his days of winning races aren’t over just yet!
CHELMSFORD
1:40 Dapperling
She’s a very speedy filly who has come on a lot for her first run of the season at Catterick and could be well handicapped off her current mark. It’s a typically competitive race but she goes there with solid claims.
5:30 Cristo
He needed his initial run at Southwell, so will strip much fitter here, and he’s ready for a step up in trip. We’ve always liked him and I’m happy with a mark of 74.
