It is a bittersweet time at our yard as we say goodbye to three of our stable stars this week.
Chindit and Lusail will be taking on their new roles as stallions and Happy Romance has headed off to stud to become a broodmare.
Chindit will stand at Poonawalla Stud Farms in India and Lusail joins the stallion roster at Haras de Bouquetot in France.
Happy Romance will settle into her new life as a broodmare with the brilliant team at Chasemore Farm in Surrey. She has been the most amazing first racehorse for the McMurray Family and is the perfect example of the opportunities and fun that racehorse ownership can provide both at home and abroad. We cannot wait to see what her future looks like and are hoping for many updates of her as a first-time mum.
The McMurrays have said the following about their wonderful mare:
“Happy has been life changing for us as a family. She has taken us round the world and has given us experiences and memories that we will never forget. We’d like to thank Richard and the whole team who have been brilliant to us as first-time racehorse owners and we’re excited to see what the future holds for her at stud!”
All three horses will be missed by the entire team and we wish connections the very best of luck for the future!
