A successful weekend was had by the team here at Richard Hannons. With a nice treble on Saturday continuing the good run of form. On Friday there were just a handful of runners and a very nice debut was made by JANE ROSE. The daughter of Acclamation was being ridden by Ryan Moore and looked to be very unlucky in defeat. ‘She is a nice filly and was unlucky not to win at Doncaster. She did everything right but the gap closed on her at a crucial stage. She should be very hard to beat next time.’
Saturdays racing was from all over the country including two runners in Ireland. The first winner of the day came at Chester in the shape of BILLY DYLAN. Coming off the back of a good run at the Royal Meeting where he ran in the Norfolk Stakes, the Jared Sullivan owned colt, did everything right and tracked through up the inside to win decisively in the end. ‘He has always been a nice colt. He didn’t disgrace himself at Ascot and he won impressively here. It was very handy as well to pick up a Book 1 Bonus for his victory. He should have no trouble going on from here and I can see him running well in Listed and Group Company later on in the year.’
The second winner came at Doncaster with a filly who was making her debut. The daughter of Mastercraftsman, owned by Hussain Lootah, was always to the fore. MODEL travelled very easily into the race and picked up well when challenged by a fancied runner of Ismail Mohammed. ‘She is a lovely filly and showed a great attitude today. She was still very green, as she took a while to get into a rhythm and then changed legs a few times late on. She will improve no end for this experience and she looks a very decent filly in the making.’
The last winner was our last runner of the day at Lingfield. TAI HANG DRAGON won impressively for the third time this year. ‘She has kept on improving and won despite the ground. She is as tough as they come and there is no reason why she can’t get her head in front again.’
A nice debut was made by POPSICLE in the first race at Windsor on the same day. ‘She has always been a nice filly and will come on no end from this. She was very green in the early stages but stuck on nicely to the line.’
Four runners today with the best chance looking like it will be at Wolverhampton in the Amateur Riders with VARUN’S BRIDE.
