We have once again been busy at one of our favourite hunting grounds, with nine yearlings purchased at this week's Goffs Premier Yearling Sales in Doncaster.
Both myself and Ross Doyle have had great success at the Premier Sale in years gone by, as have both of our fathers before us. An extraordinary roll of honour has come from our Hannon and Doyle partnership at Doncaster so far, including Olympic Glory, Tiggy Wiggy, Toormore, Barney Roy and Happy Romance to name but a few.
The new purchases cover a range of pedigrees and types, from sprinting bred sires to the more middle distance influence of Ghaiyyath and Palace Pier. That variety should give the team plenty to work with as the youngsters settle into their new surroundings. We will be hoping that this year's crop can follow in the footsteps of the many stars sourced at this sale before them, fingers crossed we've found us some Donny rockets!
