Another day...another double! This time at Nottingham and both ridden by our own Thore Hammer Hansen, our horses really are in fine form!
First up was DARK TULIP contesting the Maiden Fillies' Stakes for Denford Stud. Having dissapointed last time out over 6f we dropped her back to 5f and she stepped up to the mark to make all to win in game style by a neck. A great result for Denford who also bred her.
DESERT landed the quick fire double when scoring for owners Martin Hughes, Michael Kerr-Dineen and Mrs Maryse Doyle. She ran a really promising race last time out at Newbury in the Super Sprint to only be beaten four lengths so we were confident of a good run today stepping back up to six furlongs. Having travelled well throughout the contest on the heals of the leaders she responded well to Thore's drive and stuck her head down to win by a head at the line.
No joy at Goodwood today but GUBBASS ran a might race in the Group 2 Richmond to be beaten just half a length into and looks a really promising colt.
