Persian Force Retired

Fri 25 November 2022

The decision has been made, to retire this wonderful 2-year-old colt in preparation for what will no doubt be a successful stud career. In the footsteps of his father, Mehmas, he is fast, strong and consistent and has ended his racing career with a fantastic 4th at The Breeders Cup at Keeneland.

The story began after winning his first couple of races at Doncaster and Newbury and from that point it was very clear that we had a high-class horse under our care.

Jockey, Rossa Ryan, describes him as having “bundles of speed”. In his career he ran 8 races, in which he won 3 including the 2022 July Stakes. He was described as “The real deal” by trainer Richard Hannon and considering his official rating of 112 and his earnings of £289,012, it shows he really is a spectacular racehorse.

After a great season on the track Persian proved himself repeatedly and now it’s time for him to wind down and retire. Kia Joorabchian made a statement regarding Persian’s retirement that reads “We decided that we will retire him to stud, Persian’s done an incredible job. He’s followed the footsteps of his father, he’s done everything Mehmas has done”. He is being retired to Tally-Ho Stud, where he is to be a stallion alongside his father Mehmas.

We wish Persian all the best with his new career, and Amo Racing all the best in the future!

Hopefully there are more Persians to come!
