2.30pm Norfolk Stakes (Group 2)
Persian Spring (Jamie Spencer)
He won nicely at York last month and didn't need to improve a great deal, running on well to get off the mark. He's still fairly unexposed compared to some of his rivals but I'm encouraged by his work so far and he heads into this race with a lot of potential. Jamie Spencer takes the ride.
3.40pm Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes (Group 1)
Aramram (Sean Levey)
Aramram heads to Ascot as a previous course and distance winner, which gives him a great advantage over some of his competitors. He'll be taking on proven Group performers but he won a good race at Doncaster in March and his consistency and toughness gives him every right to deserve a spot on this stage. He's a lovely horse to train and has solid recent form but I feel as though he certainly has the ability to outrun his odds, I'm sure he will deliver a performance we can be proud of.
5.00pm Wokingham Stakes (Heritage Handicap)
Angel Hunter
Angel Hunter has shown plenty of ability throughout his career so far, winning four of his starts to date. This race is a stiff assignment against some well-handicapped rivals but he continues to progress and arrives to Ascot in good stead. He races off a mark of 91.
Fandom (Sean Levey)
Fandom has been on the upward since he arrived with us, coming third out of 22 runners at the beginning of May before winning his most recent contest at Thirsk a couple of weeks ago. He has the speed and his recent performance shows he heads to Ascot in his best form.
5.35pm Golden Gates Stakes
Sahara King (James Doyle)
A bold run would come as no surprise for Sahara King who has been pleasing so far in his three-year-old campaign, most recently coming second in the London Gold Cup at Newbury last month. He will have come on from that competitive field and I feel as though the best is still ahead of him.
Pearl River (Alec Voikhansky)
This son of Cotai Glory has shown promise throughout his career so far, and his most recent win at York last month was encouraging. He's still lightly raced but I feel as though he has more to offer than his current rating suggests. He'll need to raise his game in this field but he's gained valuable experience recently and there's no reason why he couldn't run a strong race.
