Harry’s Girl (Sean Levey)
She’s a very precocious filly who won well on debut at the Craven meeting and did everything right bar win at York in the Listed Marygate Fillies’ Stakes. I really thought she’d win that day and she appeared home and hosed but got caught close home by a fast finisher on the other side of the track which she didn’t see coming.
Her work has been very good, and she looks magnificent in her coat. It’s a typically competitive Queen Mary, but she’s a strong traveller with plenty of boot and this race has been the plan all along so I’m hopeful of a bold show.
5:00 Royal Hunt Cup
Talis Evolvere (Sean Levey)
He finished midfield in this race last year off effectively the same mark because Joe took 5lbs off, so he’s not particularly well treated off 95, but a stiff mile and a big field like this suits best and if Unibet are paying an extra place or two, I wouldn’t put you off having a small each way bet at generous odds.
6:10 Listed Windsor Castle Stakes
Logi Bear (Sean Levey)
He’s a tough little colt with plenty of speed and the type who could run well at a pretty decent price. I was pleased with his run in the Woodcote, over six, but the drop back to five won’t be an issue and he’s a very likeable animal who has a decent each way shout.
