Salisbury - 14th June
It was a lovely day yesterday at our local track as we sent out our only runner of the day, coincidentally in the race that we were sponsoring, the R Hannon Racing Supports The Savitri Waney Charity EBF Novice Stakes.
Sonny Parvenue, a nice 2yo colt by Blackbeard, was everything we expected him to be on his debut. He was very well behaved in the paddock, I think his experience from the Breeze Ups has been good for him as he seems to take everything in, and he came home to us pretty much ready to go. We like him a lot and clearly had reason to, he made the most of the running and fought back after losing the advantage. Dobbsy loved him and said he felt nice and relaxed.
We all had the pleasure of having Dad out with us today. He hasn't been racing for a couple of years and he doesn't come out unless it's worth it, I think we can all say it was! He absolutely loved attending and presenting the Best Turned Out award and it was a joy to see him out.
It was great to be able to support the Savitri Waney Charity, a Trust driven to help improve the health of people and our planet – founded in 2001 by Mr Arjun Waney and motivated by compassion to help people living in poverty.
