Our horses are in great form at the moment, and we were lucky enough to pick up another two smart weekend winners.
LEXINGTON DASH landed the feature race at Doncaster on Saturday for Middleham Park Racing under jockey David Probert. This speedy son of Siyouni always runs a good race - he is rarely out of the placings and after such a close second at Doncaster on his seasonal return it was brilliant to see him go one better and pick up a third career win.
Sunday saw RIVER ALWEN land his second career victory when scoring for Sun Bloodstock Racing under Jamie Spencer. Having travelled strongly throughout the race he made a strong challenge inside the final furlong and won easily enough by a length. Having only had five starts he is still unexposed; he is a big imposing sort and will continue to improve as he matures throughout the year. He looks very promising for the season ahead.
“He did well. He benefited from Newbury, he needed that run and was a bit fresh. He was dropped 2lb for that and this was a winnable race. I think 10f is his trip but he will get more adaptable as he goes along. He should progress and improve again” Jockey Jamie Spencer
