A super Saturday for us this weekend as we had a winner at each of the three tracks we sent runners to!
Persica - Newbury - BetVictor Steventon Stakes (Listed)
A great run from Persica in the first of the day at Newbury, Sean rode a great race on him. He always had matters in hand, and it was nice to see him get his head in front this season after a few solid efforts where he came very close, particularly in the Group 3 Diomed Stakes at Epsom. He's a lovely straightforward horse and should continue to do well at this level.
Paper View - Nottingham - Restricted Maiden Stakes
This was his first run since being gelded, he was quite keen but led from 2f out and won readily. 6f suits him well and he should build on this.
Royal Poetry - Doncaster - Handicap
A well bred filly who has done well in her campaign so far this year. She won on her first outing this season in April and had a second at Salisbury last month, so it was nice for her to get her head in front again. She was up in trip for the first time which clearly suited for her to put in her best effort. She's well bred back on a sound surface and up to this trip for the first time, turned in her best effort to add to her AW success. She could be capable of better over 1m4f.
