Another day with a few seconds was helped with the victory of ZEBULON at Bath in the Maiden Stakes under Pat Dobbs. The Julie Wood owned colt was held up at the rear and came with a late run to take down the odds on favourite. ‘He is a big colt and has kept on improving with time. Hopefully now that he has got the hang of things he can go on and rack up a few victories. The ground was plenty firm enough yesterday at Bath but that didn’t seem to bother him too much.’

However that was too much for FABRIC in the first race who couldn’t let down on such quick ground. She is a consistent filly who tries very hard. BRISTOL MISSILE was the other second of the day at Chester and was given a nice ride by Tom Marquand. He is a nice colt who should have no trouble winning a maiden off that form. He is by Kittens Joy, an American based stallion, who has had great success over there especially on the turf.
Today’s sole runner is MUTAWATHEB at Chester. ‘He has done very well over the winter and I am very confident of a big run. He will love the track and I can see him travelling very easily on the front end.’
